Sim position change and trading rules for default?

Come on bro. With adding position change feature we need to have some sim rules. S->S, CB->CB, LB->Any LB or DE, Dline->Any Dline or DE to LB, Oline->Any Oline. WR->WR. TE->TE, HB->HB (maybe wr?), FB->FB QB->QB.

And limit trades somehow. Maybe limit trade of highest rated players? Something to keep default from becoming fantasy before the season even starts.

How about CB to WR (Pat Pete)

I think realistic changes only.

3-4 OLB to 4-3 DE and vice versa. Linemen based on scheme.

Offensive changes seem kinda bogus.

You already know people will put OLBs to DEs for Nickel and Dime.

lets not have madden 12 5 left tackles for your whole line

yah most Defensive changes are fine like CB to FS or SS,LB to DE,DT to DE and vice versa. but offensive changes are stupid, we shoudnt even consider WR to QB(that would just be gay), and i dont think FB should be ablle to play TE because of how the formation shows up. same thing goes with HB to WR but that could be ok only for players that HB regulary(Reggie Bush etc).

In Madden 25 you can fully change their position so that you can upgrade different stats and the formation shows up with them at their new position. You arent just changing them on the depth chart, you are fully changing their position, and thats why it can only be done in the offseason.

New member here, but what I have seen work well is have a trade committee for the league.

Say a user and another user want to do a blockbuster trade...

ex: RG III for Kapernick and Crabtree

Before the trade is completed, it goes in front of the trade committee and they take a vote within themselves to decide if the trade is fair, good for the league, etc. etc.

Just a thought, I've seen it work really well and it regulates "Default" leagues from getting out of hand.

Yeah we've done trade committees before. It's a possibility

What I was thinking is a thread for submitting position change requests.

It would be open to discussion before it is approved, so it would provide an effective way of managing this. One of the issues is that certain players are unique in their skillset, so strict regulations position-wide might not be the best way to go about it.
